Jessica Tremblay is a writer passionate about technology who enjoys exploring new storytelling techniques on multiple platforms.
She became interested in digital fiction after attending a one-week immersive workshop with Kate Pullinger (author of Inanimate Alice) at Simon Fraser University.
Jessica attended computer programming workshops at Digital Humanities Summer Institute (University of Victoria) and Electronic Literature Organisation, thanks to Canada Arts Council and British Columbia Council for the Arts's grants for Professional Development, to develop her project Cherry Duty.
In 2022, as one of ten artists from Quebec chosen to participate in the incubator of digital literature ILINU / ILIDI, a Quebec-Mexico training program, she created digital work in collaboration with artists from Mexico. The resulting projects Ané and Collaborative Poetry were exhibited at ELO 2024 Unlinked exhibit.
Jessica uses her passion for technology and minimalistic writing to develop projects for the web. Her digital work is text-based and include generative text, digital fiction, Twine, Twitter bots and videos.
